Trust in the Lord
Dear Brethren and Friends,
I greet you all in the mighty name of Jesus.
Psalms 27 v 14
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he
shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say
on the Lord.
Ever since the start of the lockdown, I have been seeking the Lord for what I could do during this time. I felt led to try and arrange some sort of prayer meeting but I didn’t know how to organise this then the Lord spoke to me that prayer starts at home. So I called all of my daughters together and said that I needed them to join with me in regular prayer meetings.
Two of my daughters are Christians but the others were not. Despite this, they all agreed and we regularly started to pray. It wasn’t long before I noticed the difference in one of my daughters; she was talking differently and asking more questions about God every time she rang. When some of her sisters approached her and said that they were planning to meet up after the lockdown to celebrate with a drink, she refused as she said she had something much better to do with her time. Yes – she does have plans because she has now accepted the Lord and plans to go to church once the churches are open again!
Psalms 34 v 6 – 8
6. This poor man cried and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
I thank God for his saving grace and that although we may not be in the church building that the church work continues in His name. God bless you all.
