During on-line prayer meeting on the 26th April 2020, I felt impressed by the Holy Spirit that as well as offering sincere prayer for those caught up in the fall-out due to the coronavirus pandemic, we should do something practical – NOW – to help. To that end an appeal was sent to all our members and some friends, initiating a NTCG Sheffield COVID relief fund. The initial deadline for bringing funds in was set for Friday 8th May, and I wrote to the people asking that they would consider giving a one-off love offering that we could collate and use to bless those among us who may be really struggling financially as a result of the effects of Covid-19.

The deadline set for collection of funds has passed; however, until the fall-out from the financial effects of this pandemic are no longer the norm, the request for your kindness and generosity remains.

Whatever you decide to give, let it be decided by you according as the Lord blesses you, or according to the need you perceive is still there. When the crisis comes to an end, and things return to normal, any outstanding funds will be kept and ring-fenced as a benevolence fund – something we hope to build on for the future needs of individuals.
