He is our Refuge and Strength!
Dear Brethren in the Lord,
Greetings to you all in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
As you know, we are living in very difficult times and I know it’s different for all of us as we adjust to new ways of doing things. One thing that stands out for me is that we all need each other to survive. Thank God we are able to use other forms of media to connect with each other as we can’t physically meet. The prayer line has brought much strength and comfort to me, also the Zoom fellowship online.
We may be in lockdown but when we are shut in with God in a secret place, we can reflect on His goodness and love for us. As my favourite scripture Psalm 46 says, ‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in the time of trouble’.
So we don’t have to fear. Just continue to put your trust in the Lord for He will see you through. Be the salt and the light in your neighbourhood and let God be the centre of your joy.
It is my hope and trust that when we are able to meet together again for worship that we, the body of Christ, will experience a new awakening in the Spirit and seek to enhance His kingdom here on earth, by reaching out to lost souls in our community and beyond.
Jeremiah 29 v 11-12 says, ‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and I will listen to you’. So let us endeavour to stay close to the Lord. Wait patiently for Him as He strengthens our hearts. Love you all, can’t wait to see you all again.
Yours in His service.
